What's Up with GG? July 27, 2010
The ArtFire shop is now closed. All of GG's handmade products are now sold only at Etsy. Membership with Etsy is required but it is free, a very simple process of confirming an email address and it really only serves to enhance your Etsy experience.
I have a new full apron style for women and girls which ties at the neck. This style loses the frills but remains very feminine.
Eyeglass cases are appearing here in more abundance. Go ahead and choose your color combination and I will show you what I have. The current design is also geared toward ladies.
Remember, handling charges are eliminated on orders of 3 or more!!

Of course, you can still contact me privately about anything you see in this catalog. If I don't have the answer to your "non-product" related question, I will get it from someone who has more knowledge, wisdom, and insight than I do. I encourage you to ask if you have questions. holiday orders. No kidding...it is not too early. The earlier you place your orders the more likely it will be that I am able to shop for the materials you require. Starting in September traveling time gets short so get those special requests in now.
In the meantime...
You may note that as a result of the Artfire shop closing that I will need to rotate the sections at Etsy. If you saw a section there the last time you shopped and it is not there when you return, it is just because there is nothing in that section for immediate sale at the moment or it has been combined. Just come on back to the catalog to review what we have to offer and to place an order. I can help you find what you were looking for.
Furthermore...
I spent much of last week crocheting.
I made this 18" x 30" baby blanket for the car seat in pink, brown and caramel. I understand that it will also be used sometimes for a diaper-changing pad to keep baby from touching the public changing stations.
I did the mile-a-minute method for this one, but there were so many color changes that tying and weaving the loose ends took every bit as long as the actual crochet work. Now I wonder if I would have been better off making individual squares then piecing them all together at the end with the caramel. The overal appearance would be changed a bit, but I don't think that would necessarily be a negative.
I don't typically offer crochet in the catalog, but if you want something, I can do some flat things, like blankets, scarves, leg warmers, and I'm pretty okay at making booties and slippers, simple bags; things like that.
Today and for the rest of the week...
I am looking forward to focusing my attention fully on Etsy, EtsyKids, and Etsy Custom Creations, where I am most content to be.
